  2. Is my comment useful?
  3. Is my comment kind?
  4. Did I listen and understand what was said or asked?
  5. Does my comment reflect who I want to be in the world?
  6. Will it help our project, communication or relationship move forward?
  7. Did I pause before speaking?
  8. Am I expressing myself well, and clearly?
  9. Am I feeling fear, anger or other reactive emotions? If yes, it’s best to pause before communicating.
