From Picasso’s antiwar message in Guernica to Shepard Fairey’s controversial and now iconic poster of Obama, artists and designers alike continue to make an impact on our perception of the world through their visual representations. In the spirit of Black History Month, I would like to recognize the important role artists and designers have, especially in this digital age, to share their creative talents with the world in a positive, impactful way. From designers to journalists to musicians to artists, creative expression will continue to be an outlet for change and progress.
