From 2016-2017
Backstory Boon, published in 2016-2017 and later sold to a local company that took over under a different name, was unique because its content doesn’t just tell you what is going on in this moment; it really starts at the beginning and tells the story from day one. You could get up close and personal with the subject and have a real experience. Backstory Boon took readers on a journey with genuine people, learning about their trials and tribulations, and exactly how they have made it to where they are. Not all roads are paved in glitter.
Using our Blue Zoo production process, we were able to hire teams to pull together each article and publish in a regular schedule. When we were hired to sell, we handled interviews, copywriting, videography, editing, audio, and website publication. The company just promoted through their channels and supported those in the community.
Each Backstory article contained content to be read, watched, and interacted with. You can watch videos of the subjects, hear their voices, and really connect with them. Articles were available to communicate on social media.
What was Backstory Boon? The name came as a creation of what made the person what they were, what drove them, and what boon did they gain to share with the world? Backstory Boon was like a prequel. What is Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back without Star Wars: Attack of the Clones? What is The Lord of the Rings without The Hobbit? What are the Minions without Despicable Me?
They are all really great stories, made even better by digging deeper and uncovering the backstory in the prequel!
And that is exactly what we brought to Northwest Arkansas. We had the opportunity to live in a culturally rich area with extraordinary people who have compelling stories. The Backstory Boon family is a group of charismatic people who share one goal: to showcase how great our community is by sharing the backstories of the people who make it great.
